Unraveling ‘House of Flame and Shadow’

Hello Book Nerds and happy second Monday!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are ready to take on the rest of this week like I am!!

I know you’re all wondering how far into ‘House of Flame and Shadow’ I am, and I am excited to announce that I am 562 pages in!! Or you can look at it as 76% finished! I knew this installment was going to tear me to shreds and naturally it has!! I am itching to finish this one so that I’ll finally know how it ends…but also if Sarah J. Maas is going to give us readers a fourth installment… I don’t think my heart or mind could take it!!!

Rollercoaster of Emotions

Bryce is exactly as I remember her, and Hunt of course is his natural Alphahole self!! For those also plugged into the Sarah J. Maas universe, you know exactly what I’m talking about!! Of course Sarah does not hesitate to throw in vernacular and word phrases that I would rather not have to read in a romantasy novel but I digress…

I am in love with the character development of Ruhn and Hunt! The awfulness that they had to experience at the hands of the Asteri was quite frankly insane!! Unfortunately I don’t think that they would be the males they are now without it. I hate that Sarah J. Maas put them through that but at the same time she’s the author and I feel like I can really see here vision now!!

I’m hopeful that I can get the rest of ‘House of Flame and Shadow’ finished before the end of the end of the week!! Once that’s completed I think I’ll need a few days to process all that I’ve read, but don’t get it confused I’m loving all of it!! ‘The Atlas Complex’ is next on my list!! That’s a small deviation from what I had laid out at the beginning of the year but I have to know what is going to become of these six academics!!

Another Addition to the Family

I announced that last week we got a cat!! And she’s absolutely precious!! Also her name is Emerie. But now I have to announce that we took in a foster son!! HAHAHA well sort of! A really great friend of mine is living it up in Mexico, following her passion, and she wasn’t able to bring her sourdough starter with her. So therefore I am fostering a sourdough starter, Henry, alongside my own sourdough starter Sylvester.

Well Book Nerds that’s all from me! I hope you all have a wonderful week and hug your loved ones a little tighter than normal! I’ll see you all next Monday or second Monday haha!!
