Hello Book Nerds and happy second Monday!! I hope you all had amazing weekends and stayed warm! Boy do I have a lot to share with you all today!
First I want to start off by saying today is the day all of us romance/fantasy AKA romantasy readers have been waiting for!! Today is the release date of Sarah J. Maas’s ‘House of Flame and Shadow’ sequel to her #1 bestselling novels ‘House of Earth and Blood’ and ‘House of Sky and Breath’!!
If you’re currently wondering if I am counting down the minutes until I can get that book in my hands, you would be correct! I have been waiting for what feels like years for this book to be released! But it’s finally here and that’s what matters! Well that and a release date for the next ACOTAR installment!
Thoughts on Threads of Power
Next up and I know you have all been waiting for this…I have officially finished ‘The Fragile Threads of Power’!! I can confidently say that I have not yet recovered from all that V.E. Schwab wrote….If any of you are wondering I have already searched the internet to uncover the release date of the second book..sadly to no avail!
I was super excited to get deep into this book and reconnect with our old characters as well as new ones! I greatly enjoyed reading about Tes and her past. It felt like I was right there with her when she finally figured out what she can do with her power!I think that just goes to show how well V.E. Schwab shows her readers what’s going on, instead of just telling us! Absolutely loved how Tes’s power is similar to that of Alucard’s, but it vastly different! Tes is definitely a character that I want to learn more about and see where she can go in this world!!
I can’t tell you all how amazing the ebb and flow of ‘Threads of Power’ was! I mean I’ve read my fair share of slogs and speed racing novels! But this one!! Oh this one was magnificently done!! I loved how at the start of all most each chapter it was indicated whether the chapter contents were from the present or sometime in the last 7 years. This method of storytelling can be seen in V.E. Schwab’s other works as well. I tip my hat off to her for perfecting this way of storytelling and engrossing her readers into a world that we’ve all wanted to come back to for so long!!
I’m A Parent…
Last thing is a quick little life update! Some of you may know and some of you are still in the dark but I am so happy to announce that…..
We got a Cat!!! I hope I didn’t make any of you think that was going anywhere else! She’s absolutely precious and completely spoiled already!! She most definitely runs the roost haha!
